BOARD is a non-profitable charitable trust founded in the year 1995 in Patna district in Bihar by a group of experienced and dedicated social workers and professionals to empower the underprivileged children, youth and women through relevant and need based programs on livelihood, health, education, skill training and promotion of their socio-economic rights.. BOARD is managed by a 05 member Executive Committee comprising 3 female and 2 male.

Since its inception, BOARD has been rendering humanitarian services to poor and deprived communities in Bihar as a non-political, non-religious and non-profit making organization. We have a pro-poor policy and core concern for the poor and marginalized sections of the society has always been our strength. Last 26 years, we have endeavour to achieve our goals through activities that promote sustainable community development in semi-urban and in rural areas of Patna and Nalanda district in Bihar (India). We are implementing need-based programs in the field of Education, Health & Hygiene, Livelihood, Vocational Training, Microcredit, and other needful areas of socio-economic development. This involves strong participation from the members of the local communities under the guidance of BOARD.

We carry out the following activities-

· Education to poor children with a focus on girl’s education.

·Economic opportunity through vocational skill training to women & youth. 

·Micro-Credit program for poor and economically deprived women.

·Capacity building training.

·Awareness generation and support programs on Health & Hygiene, COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, VAWG, etc.

To harmonize/supplement the efforts and enhance the knowledge base, BOARD also undertakes surveys & studies on vibrant and imperative developmental issues.
